Central Kentucky is set to celebrate Black culinary culture during the third annual SoulFeast Week, coming to Lexington, Kentucky, June 16th - 25th, 2023.
SoulFeast Week is a ten-day celebration of Black culinary culture highlighting Black restaurants, farmers, and chefs in Central Kentucky. Through educational exhibits, curated experiences, and enjoying great food, SoulFeast Week is an opportunity for Kentuckians of all races and backgrounds to support Black businesses by putting their money where their mouths are, literally.

Founded in 2020 by Martina Barksdale and Marcellus Barksdale, SoulFeast Week is a continuation of efforts to highlight and support Black culinary and agriculture in Central Kentucky. The mission of SoulFeast Week is to facilitate and highlight Black culinary experiences as a means to educate, stimulate, and embrace Black businesses one bite at a time.

SOULTEENTH FEST - JUNE 17
SoulTeenth Fest is Kentucky's premier Juneteenth Festival celebrating black liberation and culture through live music, art, agriculture, and great food. This one-day festival will take place at Moondance Amphitheater in Lexington on Saturday, June 17, 2023.

BLACK RESTAURANT WEEK - JUNE 19-25
Lexington’s only food week exclusively featuring black-owned restaurants in Lexington, Kentucky. Participating restaurants will create a unique, off-menu food entrée for $10.00. In partnership with Black Soil KY, each food entree must feature at least one ingredient sourced from a Black farmer or producer in Kentucky.
