This Tuesday, February 5th at 9 pm we are launching Hound Dog Press's 6th and final print to the KY Natural Wonders prints series, y'all! These new KY River Palisades prints are designed by Nick Baute of Hound Dog Press and hand-printed the old fashioned way!
The Kentucky River Palisades are a series of steep, scenic gorges and limestone outcroppings that stretch for approximately 100 mi along the Kentucky River in central Kentucky. With it's beautiful cliffs and numerous nature preserves, The Palisades are home to some of Kentucky's finest canoeing and sightseeing.
Each 13" x 18" print is hand carved onto linoleum blocks, then reduced (or cut) in-between each individual color. They're printed one color at a time, one print at a time, on a 1950 Vandercook #4 printing press using 100# French Paper Co. paper (100% recycled in a hydro powered mill). The process insures that no additional prints can be made. Once these are gone, they're truly gone. We only have 50 available, so grab yours while they last!
